RalucaB : I love the idea of this novel! It's obvious that you're very passionate about it and that your letter is well-written , but agents haven't the time to get into details.

I'd cut out the biography part and anything that starts with "my novel is" and doesn't end with the word count. That's what agents like Janet Reid mean when they say, "Show, don't tell. Show it by explaining the elements in your novel that make it thus. Kimmy does a good job with this in her version. Honestly, your story clearly follows the tradition of amazing world builders like Rowling and Lewis, so you don't even need to mention who inspired you.

It'll be obvious in the query AND in the book. Your novel sounds just like the kind of story I still! Cut down your query and I'm sure you'll see the requests piling in. I really like some of your ideas Kimmy and Raluca!

If anyone else has any other suggestions, please don't hesitate to say. I'm trying to think of some way to incorporate Kimmy's suggestions while still keeping the bit about "Kansas tornados and wardrobes" etc. Perhaps it really needs to be cut, but I've always been partial to that bit and feel like it gives a strong impression about the book.
